Ridiculous Lamborghini Huracan tune takes it to 2,500 HP

Underground Racing has unveiled its latest and craziest Lamborghini Huracan STO experiment so far. While retaining its stock 5.2-liter V10, the car manages to slam the wheels with 2,535 metric horsepower (2,500 hp / 1,864 kW) and somehow remain street-legal.

The output quoted above is only attainable with high-ethanol fuel, but still beats that of the Bugatti Tourbillon hybrid unveiled in 2024 with “only” 2,000 PS (1,973 hp / 1,471 kW) at its command. The tuning company says it basically had to rebuilt the entire engine from the ground up, turbos and all. Even on regular pump gas, it churns out a respectable 1,217 PS (1,200 hp / 895 kW).

Needless to say, the transmission had to be recalibrated to withstand the load. A new gold-plated titanium exhaust system was developed for the project along with bespoke wheels, a roll cage, a discreet fire extinguishing system and a brake chute.

Underground Racing didn’t say outright whether it intended to sell the car one day, but hinted that for the time being, it would be participating in drag races, often simply as a show car. Sounds like the team isn’t ready to part with it yet.

This is far from the first time UR tuned a Lamborghini – watch the video for another cool example. Their Gallardo set a world record by accelerating to 408 km/h (253.5 mph) on a half-mile strip four years ago. Last autumn, they confirmed working on the Italian automaker’s latest-and-greatest production supercar – the Revuelto hybrid.
