Lamborghini Revuelto gets electronic co-driver assist feature

Lamborghini has introduced quite a few state-of-the-art technologies at the CES show in Las Vegas, all of them designed to help supercar drivers around the track.

There are three major new features in total, combined in the Telemetry X system of the new Revuelto. The first one, Remote Garage, lets third parties – for example, driving instructors – upload data to the car on the go. Driver can request technical specifications, instructional videos and so on. All data is transmitted via 5G networks in real time. Instructors can monitor the performance of the car remotely without distracting drivers to analyze their performance and give advice later.

Another big feature comes in the form of biometrical data collection. A dedicated hardware suite can be used to collect such info as the driver’s heart rate, body temperature, breathing rate and so on. Analyzing these details can be useful to understand which sections of any given racetrack cause the most nervous tension.

Finally, there is a feature called Digital Co Pilot – an advanced virtual co-driver capable of processing biometry and telemetry to give very specific recommendations regarding the optimal braking points before curves or the best trajectories.

Lamborghini declined to comment on when the system may become available for use on actual racecars and whether it will support all major racetracks or just a select few.
