The next generation of the Lexus IS sedan came out a few years ago and felt more like yet another mid-life refresh. Its coupe counterpart, the RC, is still officially making do with such refreshes, the latest of which is coming to Japan next month.
In its 2023MY guise, the Lexus RC looks the same from the outside, but features a full-fledged multimedia touchscreen instead of a passive display inside. The size stays unchanged, but the display sits closer to the driver and is slightly elevated above the dashboard.
There are minor technical modifications as well. Lexus mentions improved wheel hubs, new springs and sway bars, and a recalibrated power steering mechanism.
The Japanese Lexus RC goes RWD-only and offers between 223 and 481 PS (220 and 474 hp; 164 and 354 kW, respectively). The sales are expected to begin next month starting from the equivalent of U.S. $44,000.
