Maserati has sold around 8,600 vehicles in January–September, a 58.3% decrease from the same period of the preceding year.
In 2023, the Italian brand managed to sell around 20,600 vehicles over the same period. Reacting to the news, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares pinned the blame on poor marketing.
In turn, Maserati dismissed its CEO, Davide Grasso, and enacted a loss-cutting strategy. Among other things, it involves getting rid of the less popular models on sale.
As bleak as the news may be for the Italian brand fans, Stellantis once again stated that it has no intention to dissolve or sell off Maserati anytime soon.
