“New” all-electric Mazda CX-6e for Europe is a glorified Changan

Mazda attended the Brussels Auto Show at the very beginning of the year to introduce what it called an all-new electric SUV for Europe: the CX-6e. Quick research evidences that it’s just a rebadged and lazily redesigned Changan Deepal S07.

In fact, Mazda announced the same clone under a different name – EZ-60 – for the Chinese domestic market in late 2025. It is fairly large at 4,850 mm (189.5 inches) long with 2,900 mm (113.3 inches) of wheelbase and seats five people. Trunk size amounts to 468 liters, or 16.53 cubic feet.

A peek inside reveals a CDM-friendly interior layout dominated by a huge 26-inch display. The infotainment system supports gesture control, audio speakers come built into the headrests, the dashboard is projected onto the windshield, and the side view mirrors are video cameras.

A single 258-PS (254-hp / 190-kW) motor drives the rear axle, letting the CX-6e reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in sluggish 7.9 seconds. The battery is manufacturer-rated at 78 kilowatt-hours of capacity and up to 483 kilometers (300 miles) of range. Charging is supported from sources rated 195 kW and below.

Al prices are pending.
