Mercedes-Benz rolls out a new baby stroller collection

Mercedes-Benz and the AMG subdivision have teamed up with German children’s goods company Hartan to produce a selection of baby strollers with funny-sounding names. There is an All-Terrain model in the mix, as well as Avantgarde, Performance, and the luxurious AMG GT2.

The company especially praises the trim material. Known as Vegan Leatherette, it resembles fine leather by texture, look and tactile feel while having nothing to do with animal products. The company promises high durability with 100,000 abrasion cycles until worn out.

The All-Terrain GTR series of strollers runs on inflatable tires and spring suspension, ensuring the baby maximum comfort on any given road surface. A sun visor is included as well, the handle is height-adjustable, there is a parking brake and a five-point safety harness on magnetic latches.

The Avantgarde and the Performance are similar save for minor design differences. Both are available with GTX and GTS-style cribs. The former has a minimal weight while the latter is adjustable in length, so you can extend it and keep using it as the baby grows.

As you may have guessed, the AMG GT2 is a limited-run product for the more fashion-minded among us. Only 299 strollers like this will be made and the prices are still unknown. While the standard models come in five colors, the AMG lineup is limited to just two, but both are advertised as ‘exclusive’. All AMG GT2 stroller buyers will be getting a casual bag that can be easily attached to the crib handle.
