At this year’s IAA Mobility show, Mercedes revealed an electric G-Class prototype and said the launch would take place ‘in several months, in 2024.’
The battery G-Class is expected to utilize four electric motors and a high-density battery encased in a robust stainless-steel housing for added safety during off-road driving.
In addition to the standard EV drive modes like Eco, Comfort and Sport, the company plans to include a handful more, including an advanced off-road cruise control mode. The so-called ‘tank turn’ (see video) will also be available.
