It’s official: Mini Clubman set to retire with no successor

Mini plans to start shipping the Final Edition of its Clubman wagon to the United States in October, and there will be no next generation: the brand is looking to simplify its product lineup going all-electric.

Speaking with TopGear, Stefanie Wurst, Mini boss in BMW Group, confirmed that the writing was on the wall for Clubman with no direct replacement coming to the market anytime soon. The reason is as prosaic as low demand.

‘If you look at the sales numbers worldwide, the Countryman doubles the Clubman,’ she pointed out.

This confirms our expectations that the Clubman Final Edition – which you can find in the gallery and the video here – is that model’s swan song. Prices in the US will start from $47,145 when it reaches the showrooms next month.
