Nissan 400Z gets a sports exhaust system and a body kit

Japan-based tuning company HKS has been actively working on its SEMA build lately, starting with a Nissan 400Z and upgrading it with all kinds of aftermarket goodies. Let’s have a look.

Starting with the exterior, the front end has fin-like aerodynamic attachments at both sides made of carbon fiber. The rear end is styled in the same vein with a ducktail spoiler and a diffuser. The sides appear closer to asphalt than stock, but the suspension hasn’t been tuned much: the ground clearance is at a decent 123 mm (4.84 inches).

A peek inside the arches reveals premium-priced Advan Racing GT wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires. The exhaust system is also new, made in the house from top-quality stainless steel, and is already available for ordering on the HKS website for the U.S. equivalent of $2,980. The stylish blue-burnt finisher tips you see in the pictures below are included.

More carbon fiber can be found under the hood and inside the cabin, but we have yet to hear any details on either – the project is far from complete, after all.

The SEMA show starts on October 31, 2023.
