According to Autoevolution posting new spy shots, Porsche is developing a new Panamera hybrid destined to become the flagship of its model range. Rumors suggest it uses a 4.0-liter V8 in tandem with an electric motor to deliver over 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) to the wheels.
The car hasn’t been formally announced yet, but you can see what looks like a charging port on the pre-production test vehicle in the gallery above. Compared to the standard Panamera lineup (see video), this new version also has a rather sophisticated aero kit with lots of added trim bits and air intake/vent shrouds, as well as a fixed rear wing. It rides on high-performance Pirelli P Zero R tires, just like the range-topping Taycan Turbo GT.
Unofficial sources claim that the new Panamera will also be getting the “Turbo GT” model suffix. It will allegedly use a powertrain similar to that of the current Turbo S E-Hybrid, but boosted to a higher standard output.
