The five-door version of the Suzuki Jimny is indeed coming to the market, as evidenced by these freshly made spy shots.
The prototype SUV wears camo, but you can still see that its body is distinctly longer and has two extra doors. Unlike a similar show car unveiled by a team of NATS Tokyo students at the beginning of the year (see video), this one actually looks like a production candidate.
A closer look suggests that the wheelbase was stretched by approximately 30 centimeters (12 inches), while the height and the width were unchanged.
There is still no premiere date, but Suzuki plans to unveil the 2023 Jimny facelift later this year, which is expected to come with an improved interior and a new hybrid powertrain. It seems likely that the LWB variant debuts on the same date.
