Earlier reports insisted that the five-door variant of the Suzuki Jimny could debut in late 2022, but with a couple of days remaining on the calendar, this will probably not be the case. According to Best Car Web citing its own sources, the SUV will be unveiled at the India Auto Expo starting on January 13, 2023.
The Japanese website provided other interesting details as well, like these spy photos. The five-door Jimny has been spotted testing in this camo a number of times already, otherwise looking almost indistinguishable from its three-door cousin.
The new off-roader will be 300 mm (11.72 inches) longer with the same amount of added wheelbase. It will also sport an additional window at the rear end.
Best Car Web believes the model will run exclusively on hybrid power in Japan.
