Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport debuts in Taiwan

As we know, Toyota plans to make GR Sport versions of its entire lineup. The Fortuner and the Hilux are some of the already existing examples, and now, Corolla Cross joins the list, too.

The special edition is only available in Taiwan so far. The manufacturer has tweaked suspension and steering for a sharper response and a mild sports car-like feeling.

Compared side-by-side with its standard counterpart, the GR Sport features an aggressive exterior, new badges, sport seats inside, and a new infotainment GUI. The base spec uses a 1.8-liter gasoline engine rated at 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW) and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) of torque. There is also a hybrid rated at 122 PS (120 hp / 90 kW). In both cases, a CVT transmission drives the front wheels.
