Nouveautés
Toyota has unveiled two new adventure-friendly versions of its Tacoma pickup, named Trail Edition and TRD Pro. Both sport additional equipment necessary to navigate the less traversed roads.
The main improvement comes in the guise of a suspension lift. The Trail Edition gains 28 millimeters (1.1”) on the front axle and 13 mm (0.5”) on the rear one. The TRD Pro benefits from a 38mm (1.5”) lift at the front and the same 13mm (0/5”) lift in the back.
Both cars also get large wheels wrapped in meaty off-road tires. The finish is black for the TRD and bronze for the Trail Edition.
Other notable improvements include underbody protection, new radiator grille design, and exclusive exterior finishes. The Trail Edition takes advantage of a seriously redesigned truck bed, which now features lockable compartments and a refrigerator box at the driver’s side.
The powertrain stays stock, which in this case means a 3.5-liter V6 pushing out 278 PS (274 hp / 204 kW).
