The eighth generation of the Volkswagen Golf is as fashionable as ever, so H&R decided to have a piece of its popularity pie for itself.
Starting this week, owners of the performance-focused Golf GTi, GTD and Clubsport Mk8 may opt for a set of lowering suspension springs. The lowering will amount to roughly 40 mm (1.6 inches) on both axles, the Clubsport being slightly behind with 35 mm (1.4 inches) on both ends. As a result, handling should become easier and cornering sharper thanks to a lower center of gravity.
A full kit costs €355 in Germany, where it is manufactured. Additionally available are H&R Trak+ wheel spacers that you can use to fine-tune your wheel span. Options start from 6mm (0.2”) spacers for €45 and go up from there.
