Volkswagen has launched the production of the passenger bus version of the all-electric ID. Buzz. The first examples have already rolled off the assembly lines in Hannover, Germany, and will be delivered to customers starting this fall. Buyers in North America will have to wait until 2023.
On its domestic market, the VW ID. Buzz starts from €46,455 with a Cargo body. The passenger-oriented ID. Buzz Pro five-seater is more expensive at €56,606. VW Commercial vehicles plans to put together 15,000 electric vans until the end of the year, and later hit the annual target of 130,000 units.
Only the single-motor/RWD version of the van is currently in production, but a dual-motor/AWD spec will join the lineup later on.
