VW teases the 2022 Polo GTI

Volkswagen has shared a pic showing what the updated Polo GTI will look like when it debuts next month. The styling seems largely inspired by the Golf GTI with some original décor and new wheels.

Specifically, the warmed-up Polo has the same front fascia design as the Golf, including the loose-mesh grille, the bumper, the integrated anti-fog lights, and the LED daytime running light strip spanning the entire width of the front.

Also on our expectations list are new brake calipers, round tailpipes and a redesigned rear diffuser.

Things will stay stock under the hood and in the chassis department. The car will keep its torque-y engine rated at 207 PS (204 hp / 152 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque in conjunction with a seven-speed DSG transmission and FWD system.
