Production-ready Tank 400 revealed in a factory leak

The production-issue Tank 400 looks indistinguishable from its conceptual predecessor dating two years back (see video).

Like the Tank 300 and 500 models, the new SUV features a body-on-frame construction. Remarkably enough for its country of origin, it does not share any exterior features with any popular off-roaders from the competing brands. Its tailgate swings open to the side and has a spare wheel cover on it.

The three leaked photos seem to depict either the flagship trim level or a limited edition. This is evidenced by the body kit painted to match the body. The standard SUV will most likely make do with black anti-gravel plastic trims.

Coming in at approximately 4.8 meters long (15.75 feet), the car uses a 2.0-liter turbo engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Later on, the Tank 400 may ship with a stronger 3.0-liter V6 that it could borrow from the Tank 500, rated at 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW).

The interior remains to be shown. It is likely that the company will keep the cabin unchanged from the concept as well, implying a widescreen multimedia display, retro-style analog dash gauges and quality trimming materials all around.
