Carbon-bodied Dodge Challenger Demon can be yours for $250k

A few years ago, famous U.S.-based tuning company SpeedKore attended the SEMA show with a Dodge Challenger Demon boosted to 1,217 PS (1,200 hp / 895 kW) and encased in a carbon-fiber body. A very similar car is up for grabs on eBay right now.

This example has the same lightweight body as the show car, but remains stock inside and under the hood. The extensive use of CFP, including in the bumpers, the doors and the roof, enables it to weigh more than 400 pounds (around 200 kilograms) less than stock. Once you take a closer look at the photos, you will see that the exterior finish consists of black and swamp-green stripes applied selectively to leave some of the carbon exposed. The resulting look is rather novel and perhaps even unique.

As we said above, the cabin and the engine stay stock. This is not necessarily bad news for the Demon, which pumps out 852 PS (840 hp / 627 kW) on racing fuel and can does its quarter-mile sprint in less than 10 seconds.

ThrottleStop, from Wisconsin, is asking for almost $250,000 for the build. We can see how some fans may be interested, although you could buy a Lamborghini for less if you tried hard enough.
