Only very rich people could afford buying a Ferrari 512 GTB back in the 1980s and handing it over to Willy Koenig in Germany for a makeover. One such example is up for grabs right now.
Compared to the regular 512, the Koenig Special has extremely wide fenders, pop-up headlights that were all the rave in the ‘80s, and powerful round anti-fog lamps built into the bumper. There is a flat spoiler at the rear end, the rear bumper sits much higher than stock, and there are quad exhaust tips.
The right-hand-drive rarity originally had a red exterior with a silver-hued cabin interspersed with Blu Novola leather details. The body has since been re-finished in black and the interior re-draped in understated grey tones.
Powering the sporty ride is a carburetor-based V12 4.9 that went through a complete overhaul in 2018. The odometer shows around 64,000 km (40,000 miles) of use.
