DMC reveals a modest body kit for the Ferrari 812 Superfast

Few tune-up suppliers dare touch Ferrari flagships, but DMC has been doing it for a while, and enjoying it. A couple of days ago, the German team showed us its take on the Ferrari 812 Superfast.

The all-carbon aero kit includes an aggressive-looking front splitter, side sill extensions and a rear spoiler. The tuner also offers repainting the vehicle in Starshine Blue, which looks like the Italian carmaker’s own Ferrari Azzurro, but with a metallic texture mixed in.

As far as wheels are concerned, the shop offers an in-house design measuring 21 inches across on the front axle and 22 inches on the rear axle, wrapped in Pirelli pro rubber.

Those who know DMC know to expect a power kit from the German tuner. This time around, however, the car gains only a modicum of extra thrust: +20 hp (+15 kW). This becomes possible thanks to a software update and a titanium-alloy exhaust system; the total amounts to 820 hp (611 kW). Then again, Ferrari owners will probably appreciate this small boost – merely because the 6.5-liter V12 the 812 Superfast packs under the hood is primarily praised for its naturally aspirated design. Applying any kind of forced induction to it can and will be regarded as blasphemy by most fans.
