M-Sport unveils the Pandamonium, a rally racer with Fiat Panda 4x4 roots

The name of M-Sport should be familiar to all WRC viewers: the team usually drives a Ford Fiesta and will be moving to a part-electric Puma soon. But in the meantime, they built something different and refreshing based on the Fiat Panda 4x4.

A quick glance at the photos suggests it might be a stock Panda in an over-the-top body kit, but the video proves otherwise. The rally car runs on first-gen Ford Fiesta R5 chassis and uses its 1.6-liter EcoBoost turbo to slam all four wheels with 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. A Sadev five-speed transmission benefits from differentials at both axles to ensure optimum torque distribution.

The track-ready Panda also has 2,480 mm (97 inches) of wheelbase, up from the stock 2,160 mm (84 inches), wider track at both ends, and upsized rims shod in Pirelli P Zero tires.

As for the body kit mentioned above, it consists of boxy fender flares 180 mm (7.1 inches) wide each, a front bumper with enlarged air intakes, an integrated front splitter, and a rear diffuser with a tailpipe in the middle.
