GMC Hummer EV is a 100% new and original car, company says

The first all-electric Hummer in history will not be reusing any of the General Motors car components and will instead be fully original, GM Vehicle Performance Engineer Todd Hubbard said in an interview.

As you probably know, the new Hummer is no longer a standalone brand, but rather a model in the General Motors family. It is a fully electric truck that comes based on the GM BT1 platform and can use between one and three motors for propulsion. Despite the name being close to the T1 platform, the BT1 is a brand-new design that shares no parts with the T1. The automaker plans to build more EVs on this new architecture soon.
