The New Year has begun, and Carwow has a new video to treat us with in these early days of January. Watch as a range-topping Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk goes up against an Audi RS Q8 on a quarter-mile strip.
The German performance SUV packs a four-liter, twin-turbo V8 rated at 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. It also weighs in at 2,300 kg (5,070 lbs), giving it a slight advantage over the competitor.
The Grand Cherokee, however, is significantly ahead in terms of raw power, getting an additional 116 PS (114 hp / 85 kW) and 75 Nm (55 lb-ft) of torque from its 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Tipping the scales at 2,432 kg (5,362 lbs), it is also considerably heavier.
