YouTube channel Shorts Car has posted an exclusive vid featuring the 2024 Kia Carnival minivan. Based on the tight cladding all around, a major exterior overhaul is on the list.
Other than that, the model has vertical headlamps, DRLs in a different style and a new radiator grille pattern. That said, rumors indicate that the main novelty will be concealed under the hood.
According to unofficial sources, the new Carnival will utilize a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a single e-motor with 60 PS (60 hp / 45 kW) built into the automatic transmission. A similar solution is already being used in the latest Kia Sorento, where it produces 230 PS (227 hp / 169 kW).
If the South Korean automaker decides to switch the Carnival to electric power, it will likely move its production to the Sohari Factory, which has just been upgraded specifically for EV manufacturing.
