Lancia has shared more photos of the concept car meant to predetermine its future for the next decade, no less: the shots focus on the passenger are this time around and confirm that the design study has an electric core.
The images reveal vivid yellow seats, a narrow center tunnel with what looks like rectangular hardware buttons and a round detail that the company claims is something like an end table.
The seat trim is co-designed with Italian furniture maker Cassina. Its participation in the project was requested to lend the interior an aura of domestic comfort. Lancia says the designers drew inspiration from traditional Italian house interiors, re-thinking the concept with state-of-the-art technology in mind. Around 50 percent of the materials used are going to be eco-friendly.
Based on the teasers, the car is shaping up to be a coupe. An earlier teaser image shows a top-down of it with a mysterious round element on top of it. Lancia had said before that the car would have a panoramic roof, therefore, the round thing – whatever it is – may be either movable, or removable, or otherwise have adjustable transparency.
The premiere is scheduled for April 15, 2023.
