Someone in China has snapped photos of a new four-door model allegedly being designed by Lotus based on the platform known as Electric Premium Architecture. The sedan – which is shown cruising on snowed-under streets – will be assembled in China for the rest of the world.
The images show a vehicle with a gently sloped roof disguised with thick camo. Most interestingly, there are cabin shots as well revealing new seats, a massive center console separating them, a large multimedia display and a steering wheel. The latter two elements resemble those of the Eletre SUV (see video).
The car is only known under its internal factory designation right now, ‘Type 133’. Rumor has it the final version will go on sale named ‘Envya’ or ‘Etude’. The last time Lotus produced a sedan was in the early 1990s, and it was named Carlton.
