Lotus plans to complement its portfolio with a new sedan later this year – you will find it in the gallery here – as well as an SUV to rival the Porsche Macan by 2026. There will also be an all-electric sports car designed with Alpine and a mysterious station wagon, which has now been mentioned for the first time.
Speaking with Autocar, Lotus CTO said the company was ready to deliver an estate car to the market given enough demand. He emphasized that getting the sedan, compact SUV and a trio sports-focused EVs to the showrooms took priority over the rest. This basically means we will not see the wagon debut within the next three years at least.
He also clarified that Lotus was considering as many as six other cars for production sometime in the future, simply because the British carmaker was “always looking to utilize the market potential to the fullest.”
