Gordon Murray unveils his own take on the McLaren F1

Meet GMA T.50, the successor to the iconic McLaren F1 the way famous automotive designer Gordon Murray sees it. Everything from the exterior to the cabin and the drivetrain has been completely overhauled.

The bespoke supercar sports a very laconic design. The three-seater cabin with the front bucket seat in the middle has distinct F1 vibes, but modern features make it stand out on its own. These include an up-to-date infotainment system with Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as an Arcam speaker set consisting of 10 speakers rated at 700W total. Leather and Alcantara are included by default.

The racer weighs in at mere 986 kilograms (2,174 pounds). Its four-liter non-turbo Cosworth V12 comes fitted with a 48V starter-generator and revs up as high as 12,100 RPM. Six-speed manual transmission by Xtrac hits the rear wheels with 663 hp (494 kW) and 467 Nm (344 lb-ft) of torque. Sprint times remain unannounced.

An active aerodynamic system operable in six modes and a 40cm (16”) fan join their efforts to maximize downforce, and each T.50 comes equipped with its own, purpose-designed Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 235/35 R19 (front) and 295/30 R20 (rear).

Murray will be making 100 units of the GMA T.50 priced from £2.36 million. Clients are invited to have a talk with the renowned designer and witness their vehicles being created in person.
