Old-gen Mercedes-AMG GT3 gets a limited edition

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 130 years in motorsports with a fresh take on the discontinued Mercedes-AMG GT3. Dubbed the Edition 130Y Motorsport, it is coming to the market capped at 13 production units.

The German automaker formally said goodbye to the old GT3 generation two years ago, but has now revived it for the special edition. It is being advertised as the company’s last GT3 in history to still have a naturally aspirated engine under the hood. The engine in question is a 6.3-liter V8 rated at 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW).

Compared to the stock GT3, the Edition 130Y Motorsport features a revised aerodynamic kit and racing seats wrapped in tartan fabric, among other minor modifications.
