2025 Jeep Gladiator ditches manual

The next model year sees the Jeep Gladiator go automatic-only at nearly no added cost.

Since 2023, Jeep has shipped all Gladiator pickups exclusively with a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 under the hood. Transmission type was the only thing the buyers could choose, but it has also been made obsolete for the next model year. In 2025, the Jeep Gladiator will be solely available with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Those who would rather row their own gears may consider the new Jeep Wrangler V6, which goes manual-only this time around.

Like its SUV-shaped sibling, the Gladiator now ships with power windows and a central locking system included in the base trim. It starts from $38,100 – a minor price bump over the past year’s $37,900.
