Liberty Walk’s latest Nissan Z body kit is a nod to the past

Japanese tuning company Liberty Walk doesn’t often produce retro-themed body kits, but fans may rejoice now as one such kit has been designed the Nissan (Fairlady) Z.

The car seen here was first previewed in May this year, but the build was not completed until this week. The front end in particular received a sharper, sportier look with a single large air intake and a low-mounted spoiler. The sides wound up with bolt-on fenders, while the rear end received a diffuser add-on alongside a ducktail spoiler.

Liberty Walk says it drew inspiration from the street-racing cars of the 1970s. The body was painted orange with black accents.

Inside, Bride carbon-fiber bucket seats are the only major addition, while the rest stays stock. The engine is not mentioned in the press release, meaning it most likely continues to churn out its usual 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) and 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels.

The whole kit will set you back $11,583, but you can order the parts individually. If you would rather get the glass-fiber version instead of carbon-fiber, the price drops to $9,328.
