Opel tuning specialist Irmscher has unveiled a range of upgrades for the Corsa hatchback, landing it with a sportier exterior and a little extra thrust. Since the Cora no longer has a range-topping OPC version, the tuning kit could prove quite popular in Europe.
Depending on the engine, the power gain comes to 20 horsepower (15 kilowatts). The stock 2024 Opel Corsa uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine rated at 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW), so the upgrade boosts it to 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW). Since the German brand currently uses the same powertrains as all recent Stellantis compact cars, the tuning will likely be compatible with them, too.
On the exterior side of things, the five-door hatchback gets new bumpers, more prominent lower aprons and side sills, and a modest rear wing just above the tailgate spoiler. The hood and the roof are offset in black, while the body boasts red accents. 18-inch wheels and a 30mm (1.2-inch) suspension lowering round off the project.
The current Corsa generation emerged in 2019 and received a facelift in May 2023 (see video). Aside from updated looks, it received a high-end all-electric version and a couple of mild-hybrid powertrains, as well as a new infotainment system running on a Qualcomm chipset.
