Pininfarina B95 is the ultimate Barchetta you will never be able to afford

Automobili Pininfarina has arrived at the Monterey Car Week with the B95, an open-top hypercar running on electricity. Only 10 will be made.

The letter ‘B’ in the name stands for Barchetta, while the number 95 references the upcoming 95th anniversary of Pininfarina SpA, the famous coachbuilding company that gave birth to the Pininfarina brand as we know it today.

The car is a technically identical to the company’s Battista model, but benefits from an original body. The powertrain still churns out 1,900 PS (1,874 hp / 1,397 kW), letting the topless ride snap off the start line and reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in under two seconds. The top speed amounts to 300 km/h (186 mph).

Like the Battista, the B95 offers five selectable drive modes called Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa and Carattere. A selector knob located next to the steering wheel can be used for switching between them on the go.

All 10 buyers will enjoy nearly limitless customization opportunities of their cars. The show example is finished in Bronzo Superga with carbon-fiber trims providing the necessary contrast.
