Manthey Racing works its tuning magic on a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring

Manthey Racing isn’t just famous for its partnership with Porsche in motorsports – the company also crafts fine tuning kits for street-legal sports cars from Zuffenhausen. Its latest work is this extensively modified 911 GT3 Touring that you will struggle to identify as such.

The company offers a range of upgrades for the model, including coilover suspension, heavy-duty brake lines and in-house-designed brake pads. The wheels can be replaced with a set that’s 7.3 kilos (16.1 lbs) lighter. All upgrades are meant to improve handling on track.

Compared to the GT3 it is based upon, the main selling point of the Touring version is a reserved exterior devoid of bold aero parts like a rear wing. Manthey doesn’t mess with this principle, but still freshens up the build with a front bumper trim, a larger rear diffuser and new undercarriage trims. The doors get subtle-looking decals and the sills get special trims with the Manthey logo on them.

Those who know this tuning company will not be surprised to find that the 4.0-liter V8 under the hood still produces its usual 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW). Manthey always tries to maximize the performance of the cars it works with while avoiding engine mods.
