AutoHome.cn has shared the first live images showing the all-electric SC-01 coupe. Created by a startup firm called Small Sports Car, it justifies that name by weighing as little as 1.3 metric tons (2,866 pounds).
The car is 4.1 meters (13.5 feet) long and comes powered by two electric engines. Rumor has it that they produce a combined 425 PS (419 hp / 313 kW) and let the car sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds. These numbers await confirmation, though.
Small Sports Car promised us to start shipping the SC-01 as soon as the photos go online, but the Chinese company now says it needs more time to do everything right. It still has to show us the interior as well, which it says has plenty of old-fashioned hardware buttons and controls instead of touchscreens.
