1988 Isuzu TFR revived in Bangkok

Automaker Isuzu is attending the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show with multiple recent cars and a restomod of a 37-year-old TFR pickup.

Dubbed the Isuzu Dragon Max, the vehicle looks modern and sporty thanks to its White Metallic exterior, black 17-inch wheels, LED lights and lowered suspension. It even has a modest-sized rear wing on the tailgate.

The interior is just as premium-looking with Alcantara trim all around, a modern infotainment system on board and a digital instrument cluster.

Last but not least, Isuzu has swapped the show car to a new turbo diesel engine linked with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It extracts a solid 220 PS (217 hp / 162 kW) from 2.2 liters of displacement driving the rear wheels.
