Auto concettuale
Eight years ago, famous automotive designer Luigi Colani came up with the Innotruck, one of the strangest trucks the world has ever witnessed. Today, one of only two produced copies is available for sale.
The project was carried out in cooperation with Siemens and an expert team from the Technical University of Munich. Its main goal was to produce a semi-truck that would combine maximum power efficiency with minimum environmental footprint. The car had a cab shaped like an airplane cockpit and sported wired controls not directly connected to the chassis. A powerful diesel engine was used to generate power for the truck’s all-electric drivetrain.
As was often the case with Colani’s works, the concept vehicle proved far too sophisticated and experimental to warrant mass production, and only two units were pieced together before the project shutdown.
One of the trucks allegedly still belongs to the family of the recently deceased Colani, and the other one is up for grabs. Price quotations are only made available to solvent, interested customers.
