Video: Check out an insane Audi Q7 replica built from scrap metal

Someone in China has constructed a giant Audi Q7 replica using industrial waste. The whole thing wouldn’t be so newsworthy if it weren’t functional, which it is.

The dimensions of the monster SUV dwarf even the biggest trucks of North America. Judging by the wheels, the chassis was indeed borrowed from a truck. However, the bodywork is completely new. There are no traditional doors, so the driver has to get in and out through the bed. Not to worry, though: a power-assisted drop-down ladder is provided for that exact purpose.

The interior lacks such excesses as windows or trim materials, but it does have a driver’s seat, a steering wheel, some pedals and a transmission lever. Actually, that’s probably all. The engine is a diesel one, and you can hear it rumble in the short vid.

At this time, the man behind the project has not revealed any specifics about it. It is unknown whether he worked alone or with some help from professionals. The one thing that is rather obvious is that the  junk truck still needs plenty of work before it can be considered complete, so we may hear more about it soon.
