ABT Sportsline unleashes the first 510-PS RS3-R Sportback

At the beginning of the year, German tuner ABT Sportsline went to Finland to properly test its custom Audi RS3 (see video). It has now shared photos of its Sportback counterpart along with all the relevant details.

The how hatch ended up with a new front apron, side splitters, low-drag mirror covers, a two-piece roof spoiler and some rear bumper add-ons. The tuner also slapped some logos on it along with a third brake light in the middle of the diffuser, for a bit of racecar aesthetic.

The 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine was massaged to 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. Tuned like this, the hatchback sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds. That’s a whole second faster than the first-gen Audi R8, mind you.

The interior hasn’t been shown yet, and ABT hasn’t disclosed any chassis modifications. Still, knowing the tuner, we expect aftermarket sway bars, sports-grade springs and a new exhaust to be present, at the very least. Those 20-inch wheels also look new, and the interior typically gets treated to things like branded floor mats, custom button covers and so on. Ordering is already available, so make sure to contact the company with your questions if you like the RS3-R Sportback.
