The Audi RS e-tron GT Ice Race Edition was announced in May as a simultaneous homage to the legendary GP Ice Race in Austria and the Audi Sport division turning 40 years old this year. Only 99 units will be made and sold exclusively in Europe.
The differences are purely aesthetic; the tech stays the same. The body wears a racing livery reminiscent of that of Audi’s motorsports prototypes. The main color called Florett comes adorned with purple accents (intended to evoke associations with skiing goggles) and shiny reflective surfaces (meant to resemble snowy slopes and ice lakes glittering in the sun). Black wheels and white badges round off the exterior styling.
Purple stitching and silver accents can be found inside as well, but black leather and Alcantara play the first fiddle there. The MMI infotainment unit boasts special graphics in this limited edition, but that’s about all.
The car’s electric motors produce up to 646 PS (637 hp / 475 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque. Sprinting to 100 km/h (62 mph) succeeds in 3.3 seconds, and the top speed lies at 250 km/h (155 mph).
