BAC will be unveiling a new ultralight track weapon on August 17, 2023.
The details are basically non-existent. The company says it will deliver a ‘contrasting driving experience’ compared to the technically related Mono R model, but that’s it.
A video accompanying the announcement shows the car is a darkened state, and the shadow prevents us from discerning any details. The video gives some brief glimpses of the body and suspension, but also fails to reveal anything useful.
As for the BAC Mono R which the new car is being compared to, it relies on a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine to carry it along the track with 345 PS (340 hp / 254 kW). For a single-seater weighing just 555 kilograms (1,223 pounds), it is plenty of power.
