Bentley reports lower sales, still-high profit

Bentley has revealed its performance results for the first half of 2023. The company sold 7,096 vehicles in January through June – a 4% decline from the same period of 2022 (7,398 units).

The revenue and operational profit also failed to match those from the year before, but stayed high at €1.68 billion and €390 million, respectively. The same indicators amounted to €1.71 billion and €398 million last year. Profitability also managed to stay above 23 percent.

The Bentley Bentayga accounted for nearly a half of the total sales – 44 percent, to be precise. Another 32 percent fell on the Continental GT and 24 percent on the Flying Spur sedan.

North America led the sales with 2,065 units in the first half of the year, a result that’s consistent with the marque’s performance a year ago. China, EU and UK saw delicnes ranging from 7 to 13 percent with the unit sales at 1,512 in China, 1,340 in Europe and 688 in Great Britain. Asian market showed a moderate 5% growth with 963 units sold, and so did Middle East with 528 units sold and +11% year-on-year.
