You can buy this unfinished Bugatti Veyron limo for cheap, but there’s a catch

A custom stretch limo originally built to resemble the Bugatti Chiron is up for grabs in the USA for a token sum of $25,000. The reason? It has zero relation to the French hypercar aside from the looks.

Rather, it is a 2001 Lincoln Town Car, which tuners often use for such conversions. The sedan cost the owner $9,000 to buy. He then put a space-frame onto the chassis and created some glass-fiber bodywork from scratch. The photos suggest that the body is nearly complete and may just need a fresh coat of paint.

The styling looks fairly close, too. The front doors swing upwards Lamborghini-style, but those are for the driver and the front passenger only. The rest of the passenger area is accessed via a single gull-wing door to the right. The trunk lid is styled like a Bugatti active rear wing.

The seller claims the platform is 100% functional and runs on a Ford V8, which is in full working condition. The buyer will be getting the standard Lincoln Town Car seats and some of its glass dome with their purchase, too. The black vehicle depicted above is a sketch previewing the finished project.

Per the seller, the asking price is much lower than the sum of the costs already sunken into the project. Design and manufacturing aside, the spare parts alone allegedly cost more than $25,000 to procure.
