The Changan Nevo A06 a.k.a. Qiyuan A06 is a five-door, all-electric liftback heading to the market in China with two powertrains to choose from and 12-minute fast charging. Prices start from 119,900 Chinese Yuan and reach 159,900 CNY with all options selected.
The car is sized 4,885 x 1,916 x 1,496 mm (190.8 x 74.8 x 58.4 inches) large with 2,922 mm (114.1 inches) between the axles. Dominating the front fascia is an LED strip 2,258 mm (88.2 inches). It is composed of 236 individual LEDs and accompanied by 274 LEDs in the taillights, which owners can set up to display simple pictures and texts. The trunk size starts at 656 liters (23.17 cubic feet) and goes up to 1,770 liters (62.5 cubic feet) with the seats folded down.
In its most basic form, the Changan Nevo A06 relies on a 163-PS (161-hp / 120-kW) electric motor to drive the wheels. A 51.48-kWh battery pack gives it 510 kilometers (317 miles) of range per the Chinese standard.
A higher spec is available with 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque. This one connects to a bigger 63.18-kWh battery pack and gets 630 km (391 miles) per charge. Both cannot go faster than 180 km/h (112 mph) but can get their charge from 10 to 80% in mere 12 minutes. A range-extender hybrid variant is slated to arrive at a later date, Changan says.
Speaking of interior features, the company emphasizes 28 massage points in the front passenger’s seat, calling it “on par with European luxury vehicle brands.” Both front seats can be reclined for resting as seen in the gallery above. A 10.17-inch digital dash and a 15.6-inch infotainment display are included as well. A 20-speaker audio system, a large panoramic roof and a 9.5-liter fridge are listed under trim options. Last but not least, the car has 38 different niches for storing small items.
