Chrysler 300 EV replacement gets demonstrated to U.S. dealers

Chrysler has held a private showing for its North American dealerships previewing an all-electric car destined to replace the outdated Chrysler 300 sedan (shown here). It is unknown what the new car is called and what body style it has.

Multiple sources in the dealerships confirmed that there was a private demo, but as far as we know at the moment, none has leaked any pictures or other details. It looks like the manufacturer already has a finalized prototype ready for production, but the launch date remains to be set.

Rumor has it the Chrysler 300 replacement will not be an SUV as one would expect, but it can hardly be a three-space saloon, either. The demand is there for liftbacks, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see one built on the new all-electric car platform known as SLTA Large. In this case, it may get around 805 km (500 miles) of driving range.
