Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition hits the market

The Chrysler Pacifica minivan series received an update in February this year, and today, the company has opened pre-order books for the AWD Launch Edition – but NOT the latest one, as it turns out.

Apparently, the AWD Launch Edition available right now is based on the pre-facelift spec of the Pacifica. Those willing to purchase the latest AWD Pacifica Launch edition will need to wait until closer to the end of the year.

In terms of features, the Launch Edition basically corresponds to the Touring L spec, but with the S Appearance and Black Noise packages thrown in for good measure. This includes black radiator grille, side moldings, window bezels, roof railings, and 18-inch wheels. The seats inside are also black with grey stitching used throughout.

The model comes powered by the standard 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine rated at 291 hp (217 kW) and 345 Nm (254 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is nine-speed automatic.

The pre-facelift Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition starts from $40,240 in the United States. The regular Touring L will set you back $37,145, and the Toyota Sienna AWD is the closest four-wheel drive alternative priced at $37,000.
