Daihatsu has recently churned out the 3,000,000th example of its Kei car called Tanto.
The Tanto debuted 22 years ago and went into its fourth generation in 2019, switching to a new modular architecture known as the DNGA.
As a Kei vehicle, the Tanto is not available outside of Japan, so the number quoted above is a considerable achievement for the company.
