It is official now that Ford is no longer working on a seven-seat electric crossover that it previewed months ago.
Rumors that the unnamed concept car was discontinued had circulated for a while, but this time around, the company has issued a formal confirmation. With the EV market stagnating, Ford plans to reimagine its next large SUV with a hybrid powertrain instead of completely electric.
Unlike EVs, hybrids are enjoying fairly brisk sales worldwide right now, so this move is not surprising in the least.
