Check out a special Ford Mustang custom-tailored for Henry Ford II

An open-topped, one-off Ford Mustang made 45 years ago for the then-CEO Henry Ford II will go under the hammer in mid-June sporting some unusual equipment and trim pieces.

The car was essentially a prototype for designers to try out their ideas. It has a black body and a white power-assisted soft top, as well as anti-fog lights, special wheels, dual tailpipes, and HF II badges to remind everyone whose ride it is.

Power comes from a 4.7-liter V8 that churns out 275 PS (271 hp / 202 kW) to a four-speed manual transmission.

Interior highlights include Mercury Cougar seats and door cards originally designed for the 1967-1968 Mustang lineup. The brown leather is also unique, as this shade has never been available for the Mustang. The steering wheel benefits from a hydraulic system, and there are the same HF badges throughout.

The car comes at no reserve with documents confirming the authenticity of its origin.
